I found this deceased giant silkworm moth on my daily hike. He was in near perfect condition. After some research, I learned that as moths they actually have no mouths, and no way to eat. Their only purpose is to reproduce and lay eggs, and once that happens they die. He was so beautiful, I had to memorialize him in a painting.
