The stone cathedrals of Zion National Park draw me in and inspire many of my Utah themed paintings. The early morning light adds warmth to the scene first captured as an en plein air watercolor on location then painted again in my studio. I enjoy working with watercolors in my travels, the flowing colors are fun to manipulate and dry quickly for easy transportation. In my studio I often paint larger and use my studies to capture the emotion I felt on location. Painting is unframed.
