My husband and I lived in Saudi Arabia for 16 years. One magical day we went in the desert to hunt for Desert Roses, a selenite crystalline in the shape of roses. They are found under the sand at the water table in dried lake beds. As we were digging, a herd of about 75 camels passed by. The camel herder, Mohammed from Pakistan and his lead camel, Raja, came to help us dig. We had brought peanut butter sandwiches for lunch which we shared with Mohammed. Raja also liked the peanut butter sandwiches and ate several, hence the funny look on his face! It was a magical day indeed!
